Roger Butler |Chairman|
Roger Butler is a non-executive director of Merlin as well as a number of other companies. Between 1996 and 1998 he was chief executive of Newton Investment Management, a major UK fund management house, until its sale to Mellon Bank. Previously, Roger was a senior advisor to Morgan Stanley and Regional Managing Partner in London at Ernst & Young International. Roger isa founder of Merlin and takes anactive role in guiding the company’s management team.
Richard Patterson |Managing Director|
Our Managing director Richard Patterson is an original founder of Merlin Information Systems. With over twenty-five years of experience in the technology field, Richard directs the efforts of sales and marketing for Merlin’s many products and services and is the driving force behind innovation for our business.
John Mears |Chief Operating Officer|
Following a professional career in the equestrian world, John joined a London based IBM dealer eventually becoming technical manager. John is a founder of Merlin and is Chief Operating Officer/Chief Technology Officer with responsibility for all of the company’s technology solutions and business support functions.
Alan Jackson |Director and Company Secretary|
Alan Jackson is a chartered accountant who has spent twenty years in the industry. His responsibilities covered financial and general management, including time with United Technologies Corporation and BASF. In 1989 he set up his own business to provide advice to small and medium sized businesses in the fields of financial and general management. Alan is yet another founder of Merlin and is the Company Secretary responsible for all legal and contractual aspects of the business.
Charlotte Dutch |Customer Services Director|
Charlotte Dutch has been involved in the IT industry since 1990. After gaining five years of experience in financial sector, programming and systems analysis, she joined Merlin as a technical consultant. Charlotte is trusted with many of managerial and technical roles within the company including Merlin’s help centre manager . Charlotte was also appointed to the board as Customer Services Director and now heads up the Professional Services division.
